Battery Installation

Insert 2 fresh alkaline "AAA" batteries into the main unit first, then the remote unit of measurement side by side. Practice not mix old and new batteries. Practice not mix alkali metal, standard (carbonzinc), or rechargeable (nickelcadmium) batteries.
Slide off the battery compartment cover on the back of each unit of measurement. Be sure to insert the batteries in the correct manner according to the polarity symbols indicated in the battery compartment. After the batteries are installed in the main unit, "IN" will display the main unit of measurement temperature.
