Stratoscale buys Tesora to bolster hybrid cloud database capability - hodgestherrielf

Cloud over service provider Stratoscale has snapped up database-as-a-Service vendor Tesora to kick skyward its hybrid cloud oblation.
Stratoscale's key product, Symphony orchestra, is built on OpenStack and allows businesses to set up an Amazon Web Services (AWS) "neighborhood" in their personal data center, so they can well move workloads between private and open fog servers or scale up electrical capacity without having to migrate to a different service.
Tesora's database as a service, also built along OpenStack, runs publicly, private or hybrid clouds. Stratoscale plans to use it to expand its existing managed database confirm, which includes AWS Relational Database Service and the AWS NoSQL database, DynamoDB. Tesora will add Stratoscale self-service provisioning capabilities for Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgresSQL, Couchbase, Cassandra, Redis, DataStax Initiative, Persona and DB2 Express databases.
It's only a couple on of months since Stratoscale released version 3 of Symphony, introducing compatibility with Amazon River's S3 object memory board service, Kubernetes-as-a-serve containerization, and the ability to freely migrate AWS EC2, EBS, S3 and VPC workloads between public and private swarm infrastructure.
Tesora has long inclined its database as a inspection and repair American Samoa better than the AWS database offerings in one important respect: Thanks to its OpenStack underpinnings, information technology could run every bit easily publically or private clouds. However, Stratoscale's introduction of the AWS region capability to Symphony orchestra 3 took that advantage away.
